Silver slipped through darkness, another shadow among shadows. On the ship, he was a ghost, silent and elusive.

The rumors of this Ninja Pirate were many and were exaggerated to a frightening degree. But Silver did not mind. This served him well in ruling the seas.

Through the halls of the slumbering ship. To the Captain’s quarters where Davy Jones would be fast asleep. Pushing the door open-

-the room was empty.

Where is he?

The tip of a sword pressed against his throat, piercing skin and drawing a trickle of crimson.

“I didn’t know that ghosts could bleed.”

S.J. Gaither never writes Pirate stories but was talked into it by his two sons T.J & Dustin, based on an idea by them. As such this story is dedicated to them.
